[Fated Duo]

This flow… wasn’t mentioned in the original storyline.

The (Presumably)Sorceress Eureka and the Protagonist Raul apparently had known each other prior to the formation of the party.

In the original storyline, the two almost never talked with each other, and Eureka only came across as (former)Barrett and Jarvis’s lackey.

But… it seemed that quite a complicated relationship.

In the end, Raul dragged Mr.

Klaus away without eating lunch with the excuse of resuming his training journey almost as if to run away.

This was clearly a divergence from the original storyline.

At this point in the original storyline, under Mr.

Klaus’s instructions, Raul and Tayte were taking on monster subjugation quests, so he should have yet to make contact with Eureka.

—But as it turned out, they already knew each other.

As for when exactly… probably when Raul was still living in the slums and had yet to enroll in the academy.

Just from the fact that Raul seemed like he was running away, their relationship was unlikely to be very good.

After that small episode, Eureka was behaving as usual, but… looked like I had to dig into her past and find out her background.

Perhaps… in the original storyline, Eureka was hostile to Raul due to some kind of personal grudge, unlike Barrett and Jarvis.

Raul and Eureka… just what happened in their pasts…

After lunch.

Tayte and I came to the shores of Lake Sarias.

“Whoaaa… the lake is really big and beautiful now that I’m seeing it up close.”

“It feels a bit overwhelming, isn’t it”

We were amazed, to say the least.

A little further away from us, Rebecca and Priim were fishing.

I must say… Priim I could understand, but Rebecca… I’d never imagined that she loved fishing.

I mean, it may not look like it, but it was quite a physically demanding activity, after all.

But anyway, here we’d be continuing our date that had gotten interrupted by Raul and Holy Knight Klaus here.

I could think about Raul and Eureka’s matter later.

We sat side by side on the edge of the pier.

“Let’s see.”

Since the lake was so beautiful and refreshing to look at, I couldn’t stop myself from taking off my shoes and dipping my feet into the water.

“Whoa! So cold!”

The water temperature was lower than I expected and I couldn’t help but scream.

Then…

“I’ll try too!”

…Tayte’s curiosity was apparently lit as she dipped her bare feet in the water just like I did.

And…

“Hyaa!”

…she reacted the same way as I did.

“Y-you okay, Tayte”

“Y-yes… the water in the lake is cold.

But it feels good!”

“Yeah, you can say that again.”

We both sighed in a satisfied manner and started to look back on our school life so far.

Come to think of it, a lot of things had happened, hadn’t they Both good things and bad things.

Barrett had caused all sorts of problems, and I’d had to run around the academy to clean up his mess.

Thanks to that, only after the second half of the semester was I able to be by Tayte’s side without worry.

By her side just like now.

“That reminds me, have you chosen which dress to wear at the party toni—”

“Yes! I chose it together with my mother!”

A Lady Lilia-approved dress, huh… that was something to look forward to!

“…But I’m a little worried.”

“Huh Why”

Maybe she didn’t like the design

If that were the case, then that would—

“Well, it… reveals a lot more skin than what I wore at the ball… I’m worried you will not like it…”

—not be a problem at all.

“Oh, don’t you worry about that! You look great no matter what you wear!”

“T-thank you for your compliment.” Tayte thanked me, her cheeks flushed.

She was so cute… I couldn’t wait for the party.
